Parent + Baby Yoga with Deanna Oliphant
Gently restore strength and balance and reconnect with your body while bonding with your baby. This class focuses on rebuilding core stability, supporting the skeletal structure and realigning the body after birth. Through mindful movement we help tone pelvic floor muscles, improve circulation, and support postpartum recovery.
Using props, we create a nurturing space for both you and your baby. Regular practice can enhance continence, regulate menstruation, and promote overall well-being—while also reducing stress, anxiety, and fatigue. Open to all postpartum parents, with or without baby in tow.
*Postnatal: Join once your healthcare provider approves regular activities. Dads are welcome! Open to babies 6 weeks and over and not yet crawling.

During pregnancy, movement is essential for both physical and mental well-being. Experience a safe and supportive practice to keep your body and mind at ease. Each movement is carefully guided to nurture resilience and balance, helping you connect with your body and baby throughout pregnancy.
This class focuses on strengthening the uterus, improving circulation, and supporting mobility to help prepare for a smoother labor and delivery. As your body undergoes major transformations, you may experience back pain, indigestion, water retention, constipation, fatigue, dizziness, and other discomforts. Thoughtfully designed sequences and the support of props help alleviate these challenges and promote relaxation.
Get to Know Your Hips + Lower Back with Inga Norkute
Learn how to open tight hips, release lower back tension and understand the connection between the feet, the hips and the lower back. Awaken forgotten areas. Begin by softening and aligning the body, followed by mobilizing and stabilizing the hips and lower back. Open to students of all levels with modifications given for everyone.

Unplug from the Hustle on Vancouver’s West Coast in Beautiful Sooke.
Sustained practice, sequenced to progressively open the body through concentrated effort and awareness.
Morning openings move the practitioner towards deep relaxation through postures that open the body, followed by pranayama, giving awareness to the respiratory process while recognizing the connection between the breath, the mind and the emotions. Traditional asana are progressively introduced in the afternoon for energizing the body and mind.

Ambassador of Iyengar yoga, world-renowned senior teacher and close disciple of BKS Iyengar, Jawahar Bangera returns to Calgary this summer.
A rare opportunity to study with an expert teacher who has masterful insights into practice techniques and its principles. Jawahar will explore how the practice touches the various layers of a human being from the physical to the spiritual realms. His teaching embodies spirit, kindness and humour.
Jawahar has been a student of Iyengar yoga since 1969 and accompanied B.K.S. Iyengar on many of his workshops around the world. He travels the world teaching and is a trustee of the Light On Yoga Research Trust that runs two centres for in-person sessions and one online.
